agreement from FAA for single Repair Station & Quality Control Manual and
approval of a single Repair Station Training Programme across multiple sites.

HO Quality Audit &
Review and BCO for Quality Function

Responsible across the business at all worldwide locations, to promote
Audits and Review as a driver for Business Excellence and moving from a
corrective action culture to a preventive activity culture. Also to ensure
effective management of all identified Significant Events linked to safety
and ensure satisfactory resolution in a timely manner eliminating root cause.

Business Ethics & Compliance Officer (BCO) for Quality function
across all locations around the world, with functional report the Chief

Major achievements/activities have

Implemented a single Quality Audit process
and tool across the whole of Airbus replacing multiple legacy procedures and

Established a common training across EADS
for Quality Audit based upon
international standards

· Implemented a
Management Review process to verify the required effects on the business of
the Quality & Environmental Management System are achieved. This was
complemented by the Corrective and Preventive Action
process application to reduce failures within the management system

Head of Quality System,
Customer Services

Deploy AI Quality Policy, Strategy and System within Customer

Services by creating operational quality system, means and methods in
support of the company quality system.

Represent European industry through AECMA Maintenance Working Group in
regulatory discussions including Safety Management Systems.

Major achievements/activities have

Established and deployed a single quality system
across Customer Services in all facilities across Europe, China and America
to enable EN9100 Certification.

· Negotiated with the
Chinese’s Aviation Authorities (CAAC) to find a resolution over issues
related to Chinese refurbished brakes.

Head of Design
Assurance & Engineering Quality

Implementing the new Design Organisation Approval (DOA) for Airbus
demonstrating to the JAA that the design management, and airworthiness
functions are correctly discharged in conformance with the approved Design
Organisation Manual.

I also represented Airbus and European industry (through AECMA) in
external international industrial bodies for Quality and the international
rule making process with the worldwide Aviation Authorities.

Major achievements/activities have

The creation and application of a Design Assurance
System within Airbus in compliance with the new DOA Regulations.

A faster means to provide approved repair
solutions to the airlines on Nacelles in agreement from JAA & FAA on.

Proposed a rule change to provide better
visibility of approved data used by the industry. This agreed and was
published with JAR 21 amdt 3.

· Building up awareness
of Quality in the Engineering Directorate and initiating Inter-partner Quality
Teams to share best practice across the consortium

· Obtaining an MSc in TQM
carrying out my dissertation on the effects national cultures can have on leadership.

Head of Airworthiness

Responsible for managing the Divisions involvement in all
certification activities including the airworthiness function for all
in-service aircraft under BAe Airbus Division's responsibility.

Major achievements/activities included:

Merge Hatfield responsibilities for Airbus airworthiness
with the Filton Airworthiness activities and recruit extra staff to meet the
business needs

· Implement
computerised task follow-up and document retrieval system.

A320 Type Certification
Programme Manager

Responsible for leading the A320 Type Certification work carried out
by personnel within the Partners and at Airbus, so that certifications were
achieved to programme and to the satisfaction of the Aviation Authorities.

Major achievements/activities included:

The initial Joint Certification of the A320-100 to schedule, initial

Certifications of the A320 in Australia and
the USA

· The introduction of
a computerised Certification Management system (TCCS) which was used also for
A330/A340 certifications

Senior Airworthiness

To set up ATP Certification processes and management for the Advanced
Turbo Prop (ATP) a derivative of the HS 748. Also airworthiness support to
HS748 and Nimrod

Airworthiness Engineer

Certification of BAe 146 and Airbus A310, A300-600 for UK share

Assistant Development

Establishing equipment Technical Specifications and following up with the
supplier through to testing on system rig and aircraft.

Engineering Apprentice

From practical work in training
school and shop floor working on HS121 Trident and HS125, to draughtsman in
the design office
